“How to ride a unicorn” is the story of a 50 years old woman who realizes that she does not have so much time left to have all the sex she wants to have in her life. Time is running, skin is getting old etc. She went from Europe to the United States – as far as she could – because she loves black Americans. And she simply does not want to die not having experienced her dreams.
Elli goes on a trip from Europe to Hawaii and back. She is authentic, she is hilarious and she is sad – but comes home satisfied. She tells us what she thinks, the fights she has with herself and society, doubts she has about her body and how she keeps being courageous. She could never accept not finding out how group sex or other sex dreams might be. So, she has to try it.
She meets groups, women, travels with Tinder, gets her dates via an internetsite, includes friends to support her and does a lot of things she knows already she will not like. She goes to swinger clubs, takes place in a threesome and gets involved in a gangbang.
It does not matter that she does certain things although she does not like it. She wants to try it all and she wants to say at the end of her life: I have done it. She is driven by the fact that she can simply not just be like others want her to be or behave. She wants to do whatever she has to do and – she does not hurt anybody. So why not?
Her past came back to her. She had always liked black Americans but initially had not followed her heart due to society. So, she built up a beautiful life, but not satisfied. It takes her a while to plan that trip and it takes her a time to overcome her doubts and fear. But she does not hold back. And when she comes back telling her friends about the little encounters she had…she is so surprised about the judgements and how people opiniate about her. Positive and negative. But still, it does not hold her back. She has to do what she has to do.

2. Januar 2023 Mary Stanford – verified purchase"The title made me curious and then I started reading. It would make a great series. It is a fascinating story. It keeps your interest because you keep wondering what will happen next. Shadows of Grey pales into insignificane. It is very honest - revealing the vulnerability - shows great courage. Funny and poignant - sharp - down to earth. Oddy life affirming - to follow your dream - whatever it might be. Reveals a hole stratum of society who enjoys sex as a sport for the physical without the emotional. This is usually not possible but here it is - most of the time. Quiete an eye opener for me."

"Live your dreams - In this book every woman somehow finds herself.
It's never too late to live out your dreams and fantasies.
No matter in what form.
Well written and very enjoyable to read."
About the author
The author Nathalie Korcz was born in 1968 in Cologne and lives in Mallorca. She always had a great desire to write, but only started very late. This was mainly because she never found a topic that was important enough to be published. She just didn't think she had anything important to say. But then she met Elli Törn. Elli Törn had something important to say, but didn't want to write. So the two women started working together. They talked and wrote. During the interview, which was the basis for the book, there was a lot of laughter and, above all, a lot of desire: Nathalie blushed and kept saying: "I want that too!"
Singer, hotel operator, interviewer, wedding speaker, animal rights activist......Nathalie never runs out of ideas for the world of life.
